Who?

I do banking strategy for a living but writing was always my passion. Started out at university with music and concert reviews, then moved into foreign affairs and later business. My articles were featured on blogs, news sites, off- and online magazines. My interests are fintech, startup, small business stories and people.

What?

visegrad.now is a newsletter in which I write about startup and small business stories from the Visegrad countries (Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary). Mostly in English. Sometimes in Hungarian. But occassionaly, you might find some musings outside of these, like capitalism 2.0 and life in Visegrad/CEE.

Why?

I feel that my approach to writing is summed up perfectly by this quote from Václav Havel, the legendary Czech statesman (and a profilic writer, btw): "Work for something because it is good, not just because it stands a chance to succeed." So in sum, my goal with this Substack is to bring additional light to Visegrad business stories and people that are completely or slightly overlooked by MSM outlets.
